Position: JTAC Instructor

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in any discipline.
  • The contractor should possess extensive USMC instructor knowledge based on a background which includes one or more of the following: 
    • Instructor certifications/designations; FAC/JT-AC Instructor, FAC/JT AC Evaluator, TACP Instructor, FAC (A) instructor, Air Combat Tactics Instructor (ACTI), WTI/TOP GUN Graduate, Night Systems Instructor (NSI), Fleet Readiness Squadron (FRS) Instructor.
  • IAW JCAS AP MOA 3004-01 - must have been a FAC/JTAC Instructor.
  • Must have a working knowledge of Fixed Rotary Wing Naval Aviator and Joint Terminal Attack Controller with operational experience in Close Air Support IAW JCAS AP MOA 2004-01 and USMC TACP T&R.
  • Must have one or more of the following:
    • USMC instructor certifications/ designations: FAC(A) Instructor, Air Combat Tactics Instructor (ACTI), WTI/TOP GUN Graduate, Night Systems Instructor (NSI), or Fleet Readiness Squadron (FRS) Instructor.
  • Must have recent and extensive operating and technical knowledge on current version MSAT/SAVT. “Document hands on experience operating time, to include system configuration, setup, and integration of C2 systems. Significant long-time and recent experience with the C2 systems.
  • Must have recent and sound operating and technical knowledge of current Combined Arms Network (CAN) DVTE system.
  • Must have recent and extensive operating and technical knowledge of documented system operation time.
  • The contractor should possess the ability to operate independently, planning, scheduling and executing projects and programs. Capability to deliver professional, complete, and accurate, standardized instruction. Ability to translate tasking into specific actions and execute them in a manner that achieves the objectives within scheduled guidance. Capability to perceive emerging problems and have the initiative and knowledge to take appropriate action. Work is reviewed only for broad policy objectives and program goals.
  • Attend various conferences and meetings on matters under the cognizance of the N35 Division.
  • Must exhibit a high degree of judgment, resourcefulness, originality, and the ability to foresee the impact of changing technology.
  • Must be able to occasionally travel away from the normal duty station on military or commercial aircraft.
  • Active Secret Clearance or higher required. If no clearance status at award of contract, must be able to obtain an Interim Secret Clearance within 30 days of award of contract, and must possess an active clearance 180 days from award of contract.

CSC – Engineering Director, U.S. Navy Combined Tactical Training Ranges (CTTR)
CSC, combining its nationally recognized test range and tactical training range O&M capabilities with several prominent Teammate organizations, is bidding the contract to provide tactical and operational warfare training services to the U.S. Navy’s Combined Tactical Training Ranges (CTTR). This position is contingent upon contract award to CSC. Performance of work is anticipated to commence between April and June 2012. Contract consists of five East coast (Oceana, Cherry Point, Beaufort, Pinecastle, Key West) and five West coast (Fallon, Yuma, El Centro, Miramar, Lemoore) training range sites.

Target Candidate:
- Experience with the U.S. Navy or other US Military services.
- Experience with U.S. Military Tactical Training Range operations.
- General knowledge of other related technical engineering disciplines.

Position Description:  Required work site is Fallon, NV.  Specific work encompasses responsibility for all facets of range engineering services in support of the contract.  Must be able to lead, manage and conduct oversight on up to 45 Range Engineers and Engineering Technicians and their associated projects and performance.  Must be an experienced leader, a pragmatic decision maker and comfortable in autonomous operations. Travel between individual range sites and Corona CA will be required.

The candidate will perform operational effectiveness analysis of Electronic Warfare EA/ES systems and detailed analysis of complex signal and data processing sub-systems. Candidate will characterize system performance; plan and coordinate system/software deliveries, conduct integration and test of initial and updated system builds and support installation and configuration management. The candidate will serve as consultant to program management in long-range program planning concerning new or projected areas of technological research & advancements, acting as the key spokesperson on the program's technical capabilities & future directions.  Must be a U.S. citizen, able to obtain Secret clearance and possess a valid driver’s license. 

Minimum Requirements: Required Education: A BS degree in Engineering, Physics, Math or Systems Engineering is required. A MS or PhD is preferred.  10 years practical experience and 4 years management or supervisor experience.

- Experience in leading development or systems engineering teams.

  • Responsible for all aspects of site contract execution, performance and compliance
  • Manage technical performance and maintain current operational status and assessment on projects, budgets, and development plans

  • Oversee and monitor site QA and process improvement goals and standards
  • Assure appropriate site training is conducted
  • Interface with other CTTR site unit managers to coordinate support and schedule

Superior Technical Resources is currently sourcing for experienced E-2 C/D Pilots and Naval Flight Officers (NFO’s) for a large national defense contractor. Selected personnel will assist with the development of interactive courseware for the E-2D aircraft. These positions are full time hire opportunities and would be based in 1 of 3 locations: Havelock, NC, Virginia Beach, VA or Jacksonville, FL. Relocation assistance is available from our customer for selected candidates who are not local to these areas.

Qualified candidates will possess 5 years experience as a Pilot or NFO on the E-2C aircraft and have a minimum of one operational deployment.

5 years experience in the operation of the E-2C / D to include the mission systems to serve as subject matter expert for the development of Interactive Courseware. Experience with similar mission systems such as the AWACS platform may be considered.

Provides for the technical and operational accuracy of E-2D subject matter undergoing training product development for systems, subsystems, or equipment, which are defined in a specific statement of work or statement of objectives.

Assures the technical and operational accuracy of the subject matter undergoing training product development during the instructional systems development process or systems approach to training process.
